My Calm Retreat - Bungalow Bedroom

OOOooooo, I bought the cutest bungalow a couple of years ago and set out to make it even cuter. I am a cozy bedroom fanatic and so that is where I started. When I bought the home the bedroom sucked the life out of me, awful colors and a dead end design. I started with paint, I couldn't even sleep one night there - it needed paint ASAP! I started with my headboard (I'm sure you read that blog). and it came from an old door at an antique shop. Then I added cute pictures, cozy bedding, fluffy pillows, and some stenciling to one of the walls. BOOM - my calm retreat was born.
Below are the before pictures. I am sure that the previous owners slept very well in there, it just wasn't my style. So I got to work. Below are the before pictures:
Paint, install bed, buy new dresser, take bed off, stencil wall, re-install bed, take bed off, put purchased carpet down, re-install bed. That's how well planned that went. But in the end it is the calm restful retreat that I have always wanted. Here are the pics....
And that's my bedroom bliss! It's a relaxed and cozy place to retreat to. It is my favorite room in the house and I absolutely love it!
